Federal Tax Credits for Consumer Energy Efficiency
Please note, not all ENERGY STAR qualified products qualify for a tax credit. ENERGY STAR distinguishes energy efficient products which, although they may cost more to purchase than standard models, will pay you back in lower energy bills within a reasonable amount of time, without a tax credit. What is included in the Tax Credit?COOLAdvantage ProgramProgram Overview: The COOLAdvantage Program provides rebates for energy-efficient central air conditioners or heat pumps as well as proper system sizing and installation "best practices" that affect operating efficiency. WARMAdvantage ProgramProgram Overview: The WARMAdvantage Program provides rebates for high efficiency home heating systems and/or water heaters. To be eligible you must purchase, install and operate a gas heating system and/or domestic water heater that meets all applicable efficiency requirements. Call 866-NJSMART or see below for more information The 2011 rebate levels below are available for all purchases made on or after Feb. 15, 2011
